Dee Foster's favorite thing is color. The one thing Dee always knew was that she wanted color
to be in her life which is why she chose to be an artist.
    She grew up in Shelbyville, Tn where her mom always supported any interest her sister or she had.
Her mom even provided for her to take painting lessons at the Tullahoma Fine Art Center at 10 years
old. Little did she know that this would become the place for her first solo art show!

 Dee earned a BFA at the University of Tennessee and worked as a graphic designer and illustrator. She
taught herself to airbrush and continues to airbrush today.  

Crazy Dee’s Airbrush was established in1990. 

Dee airbrushed tens of thousands of t-shirts and auto tags. Her career took her to Texas where
she designed and printed tournament t-shirts for softball and volleyball. She also practices her airbrush
technique on canvas. Now her life has brought her back to Tennessee, where she finds herself with
more time to dedicate to painting.  Dee, like most artists, struggled to find her style but has now figured
it out with her use of sculptural material in her paintings. Dee has created what she calls, the 3DEE style
of abstract painting. She finds this style of raised, sculpted medium and use of acrylic paints almost as
satisfying as airbrushing all those t-shirts for so many years.
